Sometimes you need a bad team to make you better again and for the Giants a trip to take on the Phillies will help. Starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner has been great but the lack of run support is costing him wins, with him earning a loss a no-decision despite allowing three earned runs in his last two starts (15 innings).

The Phillies have been a rebuilding mess with a good start to the season that got people thinking they could contend but that didn’t last and it’s been downhill ever since. Zach Eflin has been good for the Phillies this season.

However I’m still leaning toward the Giants to get the win and win nicely.

OMG spoiler alert im tipping an outsider for once and I just can’t see why the Tigers are favourites for this game. You have Anibal Sánchez starting for the Tigers who is 5-11 this season and he is 0-3 in his past 4 starts too or that he is 0-4 in his last 4 starts at home and has a poor record lately against the AL Central too.

James Shield has been pretty poor too this season but has started to turn the corner in his past few starts he might be getting losses but he has only given up 7 runs in the past 5 starts.

To me that means he isn’t getting the run support that is need to get the win and with Sánchez on the mound for the Tigers Shield should get the support to pick up a win.
