AFL round 20

As I roll around on the floor after seeing the score from last night’s Collingwood and Richmond game. But to be honest if you look at my own personal record on AFL in the past few round it hasn’t that pretty win loss after loss. Let’s change that for once with just the 2 games for today to fest on.

GWS @ Gold Coast

Time: 4:35pm

The battle of the Expansion clubs that no one really cares about but unless you have money on the game. Even people in QLD and NSW don’t watch them but that is a different story. The story of this game is the face that the GWS Giants are a few years younger than the Suns but the Giants will make the finals first. The Suns biggest problem is injuries to their ‘star’ players over the past few seasons and already have an aging list to deal with.

Look the Giants will be too strong for the Suns in this game and even with the Suns winning their last 3 games at home (against the Dockers, Saints and Lions) with the books having the line set at 43.5 I can see this game being a blowout and that is why im taking the Giants line in this game.

Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne

Time: 7:25pm

From being on top of the ladder after round 9 to only being in 8th place at round 20 for the Roo it’s been an up and down season with the record braking effects of Brett Harvey last week a real high point for the season. They have won their past 2 games but only against Collingwood and the Saints. The Bulldogs should be 2nd or 3rd favourites for the flag but many key injuries to start players derailed there season. Last weeks game against the Cats just showed how much passion is in this group with them very close to knocking off the Cat at Simonds Stadium.

Look the loss of Tom liberatore will really hurt this team but with Matthew Boyd and Dale Morris back in the side this week and that will strengthen their back line for this game.

The Roos have been lucky already lucky when taking on the Dogs this season with a hard fought game and the Doggies will be looking for revenge. This game is not going to be a blow out for either team so we are not looking at the over 40 margin but I am looking at the 1-39 margin and with that in mind im going to tip the Doggies to get revenge on the Roos.
