Superbowl 51

New England VS Atlanta

The time has come for the granddaddy of them all, with the rich history of the Pats taking on the high powered offence of the Falcons in Superbowl 51! This should be a great game to watch with total for this game set at a crazy 58.5! That is high but it is the Falcons and they are a team who can put up 40 points on anyone!

For the Pats to win this game they are going to have to score but keep Atlanta from scoring! I know that sounds very simple but look back at the Atlanta / Philadelphia where the Eagles surprised the Falcons with an upset 24-15 win.

The way the eagles won the game was they controlled the clock with the Eagles holding the Falcons to only 22 mins of game time compared to the almost 40 mins the Eagles had. So for the Pats to win this game they have to keep the ball out of Matt Ryan’s hands for long periods of the game. They are going to be able to do that with them having a great running game that could control the game and help QB Tom Brady win another ring and give the New England fans more pleasure seeing NFL commissioner Rodger Goodell handing the Vince Lombardi Trophy to him.

I’ve been saying this since the middle of the season that this Falcons are starting to look like the 1999 St Louis Rams and the greatest show on turf! With QB Matt Ryan in MVP form this season after a few lean seasons and WR Julio Jones finally taking the role of the best WR in the game and a running game that while is no Marshall Faulk but is a great downhill runner. The way the Falcons are going to beat the Pats will be to go out on a scoring blitz and hope the Pats have a bad day. Once again that sounds simple but this team will put up 30-40 point if given the chance and it doesn’t matter who they are playing as shown 2 games ago against the Seahawks!

The Rams won superbowl XXXIV in dramatic fashion and lost Superbowl XXXVI in Dramatic fashion against the Pats to hand them there first Superbowl win so many years ago and I believe the Falcons have enough fire power to blow this pats team away and I know this is the Falcons first superbowl in many years but they should have been a playoff team for the past few season for not a bad coaching team.

My heart is 100% with the Falcons as im not a Tom Brady fan but my head is on the fence on who to take with both teams looking really good and I really hope it’s a game for the ages! Normally I do go with defence as defences win championships but the Falcons offence is that good but that defence has got really good too. Im going to tip the Falcons at the line but I also believe that if Atlanta is to win or even get close to this game the total is going to go well over, with the Falcons putting up 40 points
