The GOAT (my Tom Brady Story)

Ok lets gets this straight and out of the way first. I don’t like Tom Brady one bit but you have to respect what he has done in the 17 years in this league.

You can bring up the cheating and all the other things you hear in the media but the stats don’t like but don’t want to talk about the stats in this blog I want to talk about what he has done to keep and make the Patriots a contender almost every season.

He has had big contracts and earned money throughout his long career but in his last 2 contracts he has taken much less money just to win more and after winning his 5th superbowl ring in dramatic fashion last season he just signed a new contract that looks big but against a Derek Carr contract the Patriots got a steal with 22 million for next season and the year after. If for some reason his form does drop with his age (it happen to Peyton) the dead money to ‘unlikely’ cut him is really low to help the Patriots out.

There is 13 QB’s that are earning more money than Tom Brady this season. Brees, Rodgers, Ryan Wilson and Newton have earned it and Big Ben and Eli Manning have done enough to command the money but Rivers and Palmer have been hacks and been collecting pay checks for their careers. Don’t even get me started on Joe Flacco and Kirk Cousins!

To show how good Brady has been to this team Brock Osweiler and Ryan Tannehill earn about the same money as Brady, That is criminal!

How lucky are New England fans who get this guy with the 199th pick in the 2000 draft and unlike most players with a huge talent that ask for huge money.

With this cap friendly deal Brady has given the Patriots huge leeway to resign their own players and bring in new players too to keep this team at the top for a few more years as long Brady can compete.

That is why I see him as the Greatest of all time when it comes to the NFL!
