The NBL today has just announced this morning that 3 NBL teams in Melbourne United, Sydney Kings and the Brisbane Bullets will be travelling to the United States to take on 3 NBA teams in preseason action Melbourne United will take on Oklahoma thunder on the 9th of October, Sydney Kings take on Utah Jazz on the 3rd of October and the Brisbane Bullets take on Phoenix Suns on the 14th of October.

This is a major coup for the NBL but it is a major slap in the face for the NBL champions Perth Wildcats which shows that like most sports in Australia they are east coast biased. With this 3 game match up it's a great chance to show the world and young prospects that the NBL is a great place to play. NBL has to start targeting more young prospects that want to bypass the collage game and play professional in Australia and not in Europe.
