Steve Bartman receives Cubs World Series ring

The Chicago Cubs did a classy thing today and handed Steve Bartman has received an official Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Championship ring.

Arguably the team's most infamous fan, Bartman is remembered for tipping a foul ball that left fielder Moises Alou unsuccessfully tried to catch in Game 6 of the 2003 National League Championship Series.

The way he was treated after the incident was shameful by other Cubs fans but the Cubs organisation has always tried to mend fences with him offering him playoff and World Series ticket that he rejected.

This is still a great thing done by the Cubs and hopeful this can close a chapter in Cubs history that was a dark time for the organisation.
