Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott gets an extra 6 week off (suspension)

The NFL has announced that they have suspended star sophomore RB Ezekiel Elliott without pay for his alleged role in a domestic violence case from last July.

Elliott is expected to appeal and must do so within three business days. A hearing must be scheduled within 10 days of the filing of the appeal

This is a huge blow for the rising Cowboys who looked like they could have been super bowl contenders this season but they have a tough start to the season with games against the Giants, Green Bay and road trips to Arizona and Denver that could make the season a slow start!

Bills downgrade in 2 shocking trades

The Bills have traded former top 10 draft pick WR Sammy Watkins & a 2018 6th round pick to the Rams for CB E.J. Gaines and a 2018 second round pick.

Then the Bills traded CB Ronald Darby to the Eagles for WR Jordan Matthews and a third round pick in the 2018 NFL draft

So the Bills traded a great WR in Watkins who does have a history of injuries early in his NFL career for a player that is on his final year of his contract that is CB E.J. Gaines. Plus the trade of Darby to the Eagles for Matthews who is also in his last year of his contract is a bit of a concern for Bills fans. However they do receive some early draft picks (they own an extra 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks this season) that shows that the Bills are joining the Jets in the race to first pick in the draft.

For both the Eagles and the Rams this is a huge upgrade as Watkins will help former first pick QB Jared Goff who has a great offence now. The Eagles fans were screaming for secondary help in FA and draft time and this trade will help them out too.
